Having read your story, it has really helped me to put the relationship between my husband and myself into perspective. He has opened up about his childhood and his mother. Behaviour that he could not rationalize before, now makes sense.
What he needs is a great deal of understanding, love, patience, parenting, all the things he missed out on being raised by a 'me first mum'. Knowing this has helped me to forgive the past. Many thanks S
I think yours and Steve's work is awesome. It will help me in the future dealing with other narcissists. I am no longer speaking with the narcissist I was involved with. I got sick of being called a whack job and being unable to have a rational conversation in which all he did was cut me down. All he ever did was blame me for everything.
The good news is that your work helped me to stand up for myself.

I can barely believe how well things are working actually. After so many years of struggle and hurting one another we've finally managed to come together on the road to a better marriage. And I do mean WE - he's trying to trust me more and has been open to making changes where he can - after years of resistance & battling for control, he's trying. All thanks to what I've learned from you and the changes that I've been encouraged and supported to make. We've both come a long way in just a few shorts months. I can't thank you guys enough. R
