Abusive behavior patterns are passed down from generation to generation. Symptoms can include anger, frustration, mental confusion or depression, promiscuity, multiple failed relationships, addictions and a poor sense of identity.
Parental abuse is not always physical or sexual. If you grew up feeling you had to take care of an unhappy parents emotional needs (and try and keep them happy) this is a very debilitating form of emotional abuse.
Child abuse includes thing that happened that shouldn’t have and other things that should have happened but did not.
